1. Agreement and scope
These Terms of Use govern your use of 2FA - Your Data Safety (the “App”) and 2fa-datasafe.com. By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The developer identified on the App Store listing provides the App and can be contacted at support@2fa-datasafe.com.
These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs the license to the App. They do not replace mandatory consumer rights or Apple’s applicable purchase terms. In a conflict, mandatory law and applicable Apple terms prevail for matters within their scope.
2. Eligibility and permitted use
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms, or use the App under the supervision and authorization of a parent or guardian where required. You are responsible for complying with local laws, the rules of your workplace or organization, and the terms of the account services you use.
Use the App only with accounts you own or are authorized to manage. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you add and for the actions taken through your device.
3. What the App does
The App provides two-factor authentication tools for compatible services. Available features may vary by app version, device, operating system, region, and subscription status. A service must support the relevant authenticator method for the App to work with that service.
The App is an independent tool. Names or logos of services shown in the App or screenshots are used for identification and do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or a partnership. No feature guarantees that an account can never be compromised.
4. Your security responsibilities
Keep your device secure and protect authentication setup secrets, generated codes, passwords, and recovery information. Enable two-factor authentication correctly with each account provider and keep its recovery codes somewhere safe and separate from the device.
Before removing accounts, deleting the App, replacing your device, or restoring a backup, confirm that you have a working alternative way to sign in. We cannot recover third-party passwords or bypass another provider’s authentication requirements. Verification codes may depend on accurate device time and correct setup.
5. License and acceptable conduct
Subject to Apple’s Standard EULA and these Terms, you may use the App for its intended lawful purposes on supported devices under the applicable usage rules. The App’s software, design, branding, and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
You must not use the App to gain unauthorized access, interfere with systems, distribute malicious code, violate another person’s rights, or evade lawful restrictions. You must not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the App except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law or the applicable license.
6. Free access and premium features
Some functionality may require a paid subscription. The purchase screen describes the available plan, included features, subscription duration, price, currency, and any trial or introductory offer before you confirm a purchase. Only the offer shown to you at purchase applies.
We do not promise that every feature will remain available without a subscription. Any changes affecting paid access remain subject to applicable consumer law and the terms disclosed at purchase. Purchases must be authorized by the Apple Account holder.
7. Billing and automatic renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase, or at the end of an applicable free trial as stated in the offer. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge the renewal within the 24 hours before the next subscription period begins.
The renewal price and subscription period are those displayed by Apple, subject to required notice and consent for changes. Taxes, currency, available plans, and billing arrangements can vary by location. Apple handles payment processing; we do not collect your full payment-card details.
8. Trials and introductory offers
A free trial or introductory price is available only when expressly offered in the App and subject to the eligibility conditions shown by Apple. We do not guarantee a particular trial length or that an offer will be available to every user.
Unless canceled in time, an eligible trial converts to the paid subscription stated in the purchase screen. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends if you do not want it to renew. Access after cancellation and any unused trial period are governed by Apple’s offer terms and applicable law.
9. Managing, canceling, and restoring subscriptions
You can review or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings by opening your Apple Account and selecting Subscriptions. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal; paid access generally continues until the end of the current paid period, subject to Apple’s rules and applicable law.
Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription. Where a restore-purchases option is provided, use the Apple Account associated with the original eligible purchase. If access is not restored, contact support with a description of the issue, without sending sensitive payment details. Apple’s subscription support page provides current cancellation instructions.
10. Refunds and purchase-consumption information
Apple processes refund requests for App Store purchases according to its policies and applicable consumer law. You can submit a request at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot guarantee approval or a particular processing time, and nothing in these Terms removes statutory refund rights.
When an end user requests a refund for an in-app purchase, we reserve the right, subject to the user’s valid prior consent, to send Apple relevant details about the use of that purchase to assist its review. Such details may include time spent in the App, an anonymous account identifier, the total amount spent, and the total amount previously refunded, where available and relevant.
Consent for this disclosure is requested separately; agreement to these Terms alone is not consent. You may decline or withdraw it by contacting support@2fa-datasafe.com. We will not send further consumption information without valid consent. Authentication secrets, generated codes, and private content are not included. Our Privacy Policy explains this limited disclosure in more detail.
11. Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy describes how information is handled, including support messages, purchase administration, and optional refund-related disclosures to Apple. We do not sell your personal information or share your authentication content with advertisers.
When seeking support, provide only the details needed to explain the issue. Never send passwords, setup secrets, verification codes, or account recovery keys. We may respond with troubleshooting steps or request nonsensitive details needed to understand the problem.
12. Availability, changes, and third-party services
We aim to maintain a useful App, but availability and compatibility may be affected by operating-system updates, third-party service changes, device configuration, maintenance, or events outside our control. Features may evolve as the App is improved.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features subject to applicable law and any obligations relating to paid access. We will provide appropriate notice where required. We do not control third-party account providers, their security policies, their availability, or their recovery procedures.
13. Disclaimers and limitations
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without additional warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not promise uninterrupted service, universal compatibility, or protection against every security threat.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from misuse of the App, failure to maintain recovery methods, compromised devices, or third-party service failures. No provision excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. Apple’s role and standard EULA
These Terms are between you and the App developer, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for providing App-specific maintenance or support under these Terms. Your use remains subject to Apple’s applicable App Store terms and the Standard EULA, including its license, warranty, and third-party-beneficiary provisions.
Where a non-excludable warranty applies and the App fails to conform, you may notify Apple; any refund or remedy is governed by Apple’s terms and applicable law. App-specific questions and claims should be directed to the developer at support@2fa-datasafe.com. Apple’s Standard EULA is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
15. Ending use and enforcement
You may stop using the App at any time. Cancel any active subscription separately through Apple and preserve account recovery information before deleting App data. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use or material violations of these Terms, subject to applicable law.
Ending use does not remove obligations already incurred or provisions that by their nature continue, including intellectual-property protections and valid limitations of liability. Any treatment of remaining paid access must comply with applicable consumer protections.
16. Disputes, changes, and contact
If a concern arises, contact support@2fa-datasafe.com so we can try to resolve it. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from using courts, regulators, or dispute-resolution processes available under mandatory law in your place of residence.
We may update these Terms to reflect product or legal changes and will provide notice of material changes as required. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights already acquired. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. For App questions, subscription assistance, or questions about these Terms, contact support@2fa-datasafe.com.
